Cho Min-Chu (Taiwan) represents the poetry of plants in a very material, sensual way, with saturated colors and dense texture. In this real size work she underlines the natural beauty of the cactus, the use of colors with vivid contrasts almost enable us to perceive the climate of this succulent plant. “When I went to Africa to travel I saw this cactus and I was impressed but the strength of the plant resisting the climate, when I returned to Taiwan I painted this artwork” the artist continued “I wish my heart is as brave and steady as this plant”.
