Eleng Luluan (Taiwan 1968) is an aboriginal artist from Rukai tribe. Despite a life around Taiwan creating art, her artistic practice still carries connection to the aboriginal community, but in a universal way. These flowers falling are the symbol of sorrow in life. This work was created after a damaging typhoon in south Taiwan. Fragility embodied in these semitransparent petals is turned into a poetic moment. The work is installed falling from the ceiling and it is in dialogue with the surrounding flowers.
