CIVIC PROJECT

The solar tree is part of the Shalun Green energy demonstration campus in Tainan, Taiwan, it represents a proposal for public art and it symbolizes the new era of renewable energy.

The tree trunks stand for the E3: environment, education and ecology which are the mission of the project. The main theme is solar energy and the tree. combining tree canopy (solar photovoltaic panels) and tree trunks (steel tube structure) as the main body of the installation art.

This is a place where people can stay and wait and at the same time provide people with green energy education and landmark public or display in the local national environment.

太陽能樹是位於臺灣臺南的沙崙綠能示範場域之地標，它是一項公共藝術提案，更象徵再生能源的新時代。這座樹形裝置藝術的主體由三根鐵管打造的樹幹組成，代表著三個E：環境（environment）、教育（education）、生態（ecology）。這個結構包含了由太陽能光電板組成的樹冠。
